Time-travelling Frank and his plot........

Frank had his own little Groundhog Month, didn't he?

It looks like he got to know everything about that town, and when he finally got everything right, he didn't just get his life back, but his eye too!! ...lucky bunny. Donnie saved not only his sweety's and furry ghost friend's lives, but also his mother's, sister's, and her friends' lives as well!

Frank could have haunted every person in that town until he finally offered redemption to his own murderer. The greatest tragedy (imo) was that the sacrifice was not only Donnie's life, but also the love affirmed between Donnie and Gretchen in the timespace they shared together.

My question to the creator of this story is...

What was Frank's story and what will he do with what he knows?
Does he wake up thinking that it's a dream?
Does he tell HIS girlfriend, Donnie's sister?
Does he help Drew Barrymore find more work?
Does he get a haircut, and get a real job?
Does he seek out the Psychiatrist whose patients always wake up in strange semi-erotic positions?
Or does he just go to Burningman?

I'd like to know.

nah the whole thing became some kind of tau ceti mutlidimensional time space and is stuck on repetive disOrder groove line looped causing all the moments in that time line to happen in progressive sequince like a japanese fan dance and on till the ends of infinity and at some point the layers will blend into a tracer fog of past/future fuzz mess untill it wipes it white/black light clean for the next projectioN.

I doubt the same timeline is going to be repeated exactly, otherwise how did Frank travel back to Grandma Death's earlier days, change her life dramatically, and leave her to live out a very lonely death? The time fold was there, but everything is always changing so that must also change too, at both ends. The plane engine is what opened the door; what is the timespace distortion just moved a couple miles. It would be a good thing for Frank if the pale figure wasn't coming over for tea when the loop freed them to continue.

At first I thought you were talking about Grandma Death's hair.

i think alot of the allure of the film IS being left with these questions.....

Some more questions come to mind...

Q: Can I create my own destiny?

Q: How much deeper does the rabbit-hole go?

          Q: Can we cheat death?

Q: Who does Grandma Death's hair, and can I have their number, please?

Q: How else did Frank interact with the community already?

Q: What will Frank do next?

Q: How much memory is carried into this timeline?

Q: Is this just another cycle beginning?

Q: Why was Grandma Death expecting a letter?

Grandma was waiting for the letter that she time vorpleled forward in time to herself. Just like the jet engine. The forces involved in the time-space warping that Don-don was already involved in after(before) the incidents in the film are what is actioning the seemingly illogical event streams. Apparently the message is that when you mix or alter your reality stream out of it's natural course, it can twist events long after and before into bizzare whorls and eddies of seemingly impossible synchronaistically connected events. Getting used to the fact that space-time is not actually linear. that all things and events actually happen at the 'same' time. and that our perception of time as linear and sequential is false. Gertting used to that in day to day life can be a daunting proposistion as mr. darko discovered. Our wee puny minds are just not sophisticated enough to get the concepts involved, except for the wee genius few, like don, And this movie is one of the few things I can think of that flawlwssly portrays this a-linearity. Lets name other things that a A-linear; My sentence structure. Good! moving on..The Frank character, is an amalgram of the entire event chain that has somehow gotten self-aware. Or perhaps a projection of donnie's vast mind. able to do his subconcious bidding forwards and backwards through time. Perhaps granny arranged to have letters sent to herself periodically, once she realized that she was going to be bat-shit-nutz in her later life. she figured out the reasons and the cure and set it up to be mailed to herself. Instructions on how to make yourself un-crazy. Invaluable eh? Frank was drunk when he hit the girlfriend right? drunkenness impairs memory. Where do you think all this memory goes? Maybe it collects in a big collage of missing drunken conciousness, malignantly doing random things in the psychosphere. heres another fun game, try to see if you can count the number of words that I have made up and used in this post..
